We started out yesterday, Wednesday the 9th knowing that it could be snowing in the Siskiyou passes. By the end of the day we were in Grants Pass and found a nice quiet parking spot near a vacant building in a strip mall. When we woke up today, it had snowed lightly over night, but heavy snow was predicted in the mountains. We decided the prudent thing to do was to head to the coast, and take 101 south from Crescent City, Ca.
We stopped for lunch in Crescent City and took our daily walk along the water front.
The afternoon took us through the red woods and Eureka, Ca. We stopped there to take another walk through old town.
Tonight finds us in a beautiful campground in Benbow, Ca. We had a delicious dinner in the lodge and are now settled in for a night of reading our Nooks.
