Three days later, the panels were all installed and the wiring began.The project is now complete and we have been on line generating electricity and supplying the grid. PGE, our local energy supplier, pays us $0.585 cents for every Kwh we generate. So far, during the first month of rain and clouds, we generated 165 Kwh. I’m satisfied with the results and will be monitoring our system on line as we travel south for a few weeks.
I’m hoping it doesn't snow too much while we’re gone. As you can see, a layer of snow shuts down the system.
By the way, this post is a test of Marlene’s new laptop. I’m experimenting with “Windows Live Writer” to see if it makes posting to our blog easier.
